Begging in the Medway towns has become an increasing problem in recent years. 

Many would assume the beggars are homeless.

Liz believes the widespread begging in the Medway towns leads to the stigmatisation of homeless people. 

She believes that whilst beggars have a genuine need. You should never give money to a beggar and instead talk to them or buy them a hot drink.
